Smart Solution Homes Ltd was founded in June 2018 by Craig Kellington. After 10 years in the renovation industry, and with growing media talk about the need to build more houses, coupled with a real lack of skilled labour to select from, Craig’s vision was to work smarter not harder – and, in early 2017, the concept of Smart Solution Homes was born.

Teaming up with our designer and a client who shared our vision, Smart Solution Homes embarked on taking relatively standard building practices and adding design details that allowed us to build two storey housing as townhouses with minimal clearance between buildings, before transporting these units and lifting them onto their final site. This took much research design and planning but, after one year the first house entered the line in June 2018.

Since them, our company mission has been to build high-quality pre-finished transportable homes in an ethical, honest, innovative and sustainable manner. Our prefab houses are built by forward thinking Kiwis for Kiwis, using eco-friendly products and materials we know and trust

We know, the art to well-priced prebuilding of homes is usually in the selection of the home’s section. Like most other things in life, if the foundations are right then the rest just follows. We are a full pre-finished home company with the homes leaving the production lines as near to complete as possible. Granted this doesn’t suit all sections but where it does there are many distinct benefits.

We also believe every child and family should have a safe and secure roof over their head and aim to do something about this. Our vision is to focus the skills of our company on helping developing nations by building homes throughout the South Pacific and Asia Region.
